Edward Kenneth Anderson, age 95, of Powell passed away peacefully at his home Thursday, April 12, 2018 with his family and beloved cat, Ernie, by his side.

Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Anderson; his parents, Floyd and Ruby Anderson; sister, Eunice Long; son, Jerry D. Anderson; and grandson, Kenny Anderson.

He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Anderson Shular, and husband, Lynn Shular; daughter-in-law, Lynn Anderson; sister, Johnny Crump; granddaughters, Cheryl Shular and friend, Christy Young; Patti Shular Lankford, and husband Chuck; grandson, Allen Russell, and wife, Tiffany; great grandchildren, Whitney Lankford Galaba, and husband, Curtis; Nicholas Lankford.

We would like to take this opportunity to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the nurses and caregivers from Clinch River Home Heath Care for their loyal and exceptional care.

He will be missed by many who loved and admired this beautiful soul. He will be forever in our hearts and lovingly in our memories. None of us will forget his longing to join Jesus and his beloved wife of seventy years, Darlene, in heaven.

The family will receive friends 3:00-5:00pm, Sunday, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, with funeral to follow at 5:00pm, with Rev. Maston Jackson and Rev. Travis Freeman officiating. Family and friends will meet 12:45pm, Monday, at Bells Campground Cemetery for interment at 1:00pm.
