Ernest J. Edgar Called By Death

World War Veteran Dies At Home Near Yoder; Funeral To Be Saturday

Ernest J. Edgar, 43, a World War veteran died at his home two miles northwest of Yoder at 8:10 p.m. Wednesday. He had been in poor health for several years but had been bedfast only two days. Death was attributed to complications.

The decedent was born near Markle Aug. 11, 1897 a son of Atkinson and Arleva Denny Edgar and was married Jan. 11, 1919 to Carrie Smith, who survives. He had operated garages in both Markle and Yoder and at the time of his death was in the trucking business.

He is survived by the widow, three sons, Everett, Jacob and Guilford, and one daughter, Lucy, all at home; and two sisters, Mrs. Leland Anthony and Mrs. Ivan Follis, both of near Markle.

The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Fairview Church of God, west of Yoder, in charge of Rev. Clifford Manes and Rev. A. S. Elzey. Burial will be at Markle.
