Mr. Ogden was born in Rotan, Texas, to Ray and Alma Cox Ogden. He served in the army, stationed in Germany, and attended Floydada High School, where for many years he held the state record for high jump. He worked for several years as parts manager for GM Dealerships, employed by Johnson Motor Co. until 1998, and Alan Ritchey Inc. of Valley View as a service writer.
He was preceded in death by brother, Cranston Ray Ogden.
Survivors include his wife of 14 years, daughter, brothers, sister, three grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Services were held at First United Methodist Church, Gainesville.
