On the 1920 Kingsport, Sullivan Co., Tennessee census, I found pulp plant shipping clerk, TOM Sheridan, 30 (abt 1890); wife Allie G Sheridan, 26 and son John C Sheridan, 2 6/12. John was born in Tennessee and his parents were born in Virginia. They resided at 204 Arch Street.

"CHARLES W. SHERIDAN DIED FRIDAY MORNING Charles William Sheridan died at Jackson Memorial hospital here Friday morning following a long illness. He had been ill since last October with a complication of diseases but was thought to be improving when he was stricken suddenly Thursday afternoon and removed to the hospital. Mr. Sheridan, known to all of his friends as "Tom", was a son of the late John Sheridan, Confederate veteran and a native of Ireland, and his wife, Mrs. Sarah Virginia Sheridan. He was born in Lexington, July 16, 1890, and was fortyfive years old. After attending the schools here he was engaged for some years with his father in the livery business, later conducting a business of his own, and turning it in recent years into a transfer and hauling business. In 1916 Mr. Sheridan married Miss Allie Repass of Tazewell, who survives him with three children, John M. Sheridan, Janies Gibbons Sheridan, and Martha Virginia Sheridan. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Dennis Sheridan, Pittsburgh; Leo Sheridan and Miss Minnie Kate Sheridan of Washington; Miss Clara Sheridan and Mrs. Ruth Holland of Lexington. Mr. Sheridan was an exceedingly popular man as attested by the crowd that overflowed the Catholic church here at the funeral service Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock. The services were conducted by Father Emmett Gallagher of Staunton, and burial was in the Lexington cemetery. Among those who attended the funeral from a distance were Mr. Leo Sheridan and Miss Minnie Kate Sheridan of Washington; Mrs. Edna Widimer, Birmingham, Ala.; Mr, and Mrs. James Hankin and children, Mrs. Frank Lynch, and Miss Christine Lynch of Roanoke; and Mr. and Mrs. George Hudgins, Knoxville, Tenn."
