Ernest D. Wine, 65, died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 15, 2018. He was the husband of Marlene S. (Risser) Wine. Born in Dauphin County on February 14, 1953, he was the son of the late Norman F. and Ada (Kreider) Wine and stepson of Miriam (Witmer) Wine of Ephrata. Ernest was a member of Miners Village Mennonite Church.
In addition to his wife and stepmother, he is survived by sons, Dale (Rachel) Wine of Lititz, Timothy (Laura) Wine of Newmanstown, Daniel (Bethany) Wine of Emory, TX, Joseph (Rosene) Wine of, Malden MA., Stephen Wine at home; daughters, Rosene (Nelson) Siegrist of Lebanon, Sharon (Stephen) Eby of Eldorado, OH, Judith (Lawrence) Zimmerman of Carlisle, and Bethany (Sheldon) Sauder of Myerstown; 37 grandchildren; brothers, Stanley (Esther) Wine, Robert (Shirlene) Wine, and Norman Jay Wine all of Lebanon; sisters, Marie (Levi) Mumma of Manheim, Deborah (Aaron) Hudler of McAlisterville; and a stepbrother, James Witmer of Lebanon; and two stepsisters, Patricia (Luke) Shertzer of Thompsontown and Jane (Dale) Metzler of Lewisburg. He was preceded in death by a sister, Edith Wine.
Funeral services will be held at White Oak Mennonite Church, 2456 Newport Road, Manheim on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 10 a.m. There will be a viewing at White Oak Mennonite Church on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. Interment in Miners Village Mennonite Cemetery, Cornwall.
