Carolina B. Bazzani, 81 of 230 N 9th Street, died suddenly at 8 a.m. today at Meadows Manor North. She was born Nov 1, 1898, in Lotta, Italy and was the daughter of Reynoldo and Possidonia Galli Berti. Mrs. Bazzani, who was a member of the Sacred Heart Church of Clinton and the One-Half Century Club Auxiliary was a retired seamstress for Lewins & Clinton Garment Company. On Nov 18, 1961, she was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Alice Certain of Clinton, one son, Fred of Waveland one sister, Mrs. Anna Poldi of Italy, one brother, Medardo Berti also of Italy; five grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews in Italy. Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Church with Rev. James Shanahan officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Friends may call fr om 4-9 p.m. Wednesday at Frist Funeral Home where a rosary will be recall ed at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
