(1924 - 2018)

Manitowoc - Chester C. Deubler, age 93, a Manitowoc resident, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Laurel Grove Assisted Living in Manitowoc.

Chester was born on June 13, 1924 to John and Mary (Mahler) Deubler. He attended school in Manitowoc and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1944. Chester served in the United States Army from 1944 - 1946 in Europe with the Military Police. He married the former Delores Stradal in September 1946. Chester worked at Mirro Aluminum Corporation as a foreman and a supervisor until his retirement. Chester enjoyed being a member of the American Legion and Mirro Gourmet Club. He loved golfing, fishing, bowling, cheering on the Packers, Brewers, Bucks, and listening to the songs from his era. Spending time with his children and grandchildren was the highlight of his life. In 2012, he was proud to go to Washington D.C. on the Honor Flight for World War II Veterans.

He is survived by his daughter: Pam Oehldrich; his son: Peter (Jennifer) Deubler; his grandchildren: Grace and Luke Deubler and his sister-in-law: Elaine Deubler. Many nieces, nephews, and friends also survive him. He was preceded in death by his wife: Delores, to whom he was married to for 66 years; a son-in-law: Randy Oehldrich; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Lester Deubler, Milton (Rose) Deubler, Roy (Sally) Deubler; and a sister and brother-in-law: Irene (Adolph) Kadow.

Funeral Services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Service will be the Rev. Dr. Matthew Sauer and Rev. Fred Zagone with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth, at a later date. Military Rites will be accorded at the funeral home immediately after the service by American Legion Drews Bleser Post #88.

The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 3:00 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2018 until 4:15 p.m.
