ELSIE LAVON ADMIRE
Mrs. Elsie Lavon Admire, 46 of 148 E. Clark St., Brookfield, died Thursday, Jan. 17 at Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield after an extended illness.
Mrs. Admire was born June 27, 1927 in Halls, Missouri, to Henry and Mary (Crossfield) Conard. On Jan. 14, 1946 in Pacific Junction, Iowa, she was married to John Raymond Admire, who survives. Mrs. Admire had been a resident of Brookfield since 1959 and had been employed by L.T. York Pharmacal Co. until she was forced to retire because of her illness. Mrs. Admire was a charter member of the Brookfield Eagle's Auxiliary Aerie #2463 and was past vice-president, chaplin and trustee of the Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, John Raymond Admire of the home; five sons, Kenneth Wayne Conard, Johnny Ray Admire, Henry David Admire, Larry Dean Admire adn Timothy Dwayne Admire, all of Brookfield; one daughter, Mary Frances Admire, also of Brookfield; her mother, Mrs. Mary Conard of St. Joseph; three sisters, Mrs. Zatta Van of Joplin, Mrs. Betty McCarty and Mrs. Kathleen Atkins, both of St. Joseph; and four grandchildren. Mrs. Admire was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services were held Jan. 19 at the Larson-Scudiero Funeral Home in Bucklin. Interment was in the Masonic Cemetery in Bucklin under the direction of the Larson-Scudiero Funeral Home of Bucklin and Ethel.
