Anita "Jean" McNeal walked through the pearly gates of paradise to be with Jesus after an extended illness. We rejoice in her peace and we will miss her dearly.

Jean was born on May 28, 1925 in Dunkirk, Indiana to the late Clyde Leroy and Della (Hoover) Shatto.

Jean married Walter L King, Jr. in 1945. He preceded her in death in 1988. She married Eugene McNeal in 1991. He preceded her in death in 1999. She is survived by current husband, Howard Dittemer.

Jean was a homemaker and member of Healing Heart Church. Jean loved her children and grandchildren very much. She also enjoyed wintering in Florida with Howard.

Jean is also survived by her daughter, Cynthia (Michael) King, Fairmount; sons, William L. King, Inverness Florida, and Walter L. King, III, Warsaw, Indiana; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her step-daughters, Catherine Marks and Annabelle King; brother, Robert Shatto and great-grandson, Alex Hostetler.

Gravesides services will be Friday, April 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Marion, Indiana with Pastor Delmar Fenwick officiating. Funeral services have been entrusted to McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel, 104 South Main Street, LaFontaine, Indiana 46940.
