Death Cert and WWI Draft say his birth year is 1879, but his brother, Charles, born after him, claims to be born in 1879. Karel and Agnes were married in 1877, so John would have been born in 1878.

Married Jan 17 1905 Heun, Colfax, NE, Emma Cech. In 1910, they had one child, William (b.~1909 NE)

John Lapacek passed away at his home nine miles west of Belgrade last Friday, Jan. 17th after an illness with influenza. His wife preceded him a short time ago. Five children are left fatherless and motherless.

Per Nancy Zaruba (48502490), "He actually died at the home of his sister Mrs. Marie Anderson of Ord, Valley County, Nebraska, as he was too ill to take care of himself and his children after his wife died 4 days before. His home was 9 miles west of Belgrade and 13 miles southwest of Cedar Rapids."
