Mrs. Antoinetta, (Creo) Morosco, age 74, went home to be with the Lord when she passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018 at the Faxton-St. Luke Healthcare Center embraced by her loved ones who were at her side. Born in Minturno, Italy on February 25, 1944, Annette was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Esterina (Treglia) Creo. She immigrated to America in 1955 when she was 12 years old and settled in Utica. On July 14, 1962 she married Thomas J. Morosco with whom she shared over 55 years. They cherished their life together and were blessed with four children. Annette attended T.R. Proctor High School and was a parishioner of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish. She owned and operated Annetes Bridal Shop located at 735 Bleecker Street for 25 years, designing and making the most beautiful wedding gowns and prom dresses. Annette was a woman who had great strength of character and was the core of the family. She was blessed with skillful hands, a rare God-given talent and lost art. Happiness and joy filled her soul, and devotion to her family filled her heart. She was known to be a watchful and wise matriarch, and her faith guided her life. She prayed to the Blessed Mother for whom she held a great devotion, and placed her holy statue on her porch to protect her family. She set a precedent for her family to seasonally refresh the flowers surrounding the statue in honor of her good works and intercessory prayers for healing, peace, and justice. Annette is survived by her husband, Tom; her children, Bernard Morosco and fiance Lisa Roach, Lisa and Mark Sassman, and Brian and Pamela Morosco. She was preceded by her daughter Angela (Morosco) Barnes. She also leaves her son-in-law, Brett Barnes; her grandchildren, Thomas, Kayla, and Abigayle Morosco; Mark, and Michael Sassman; Nicholas Morosco, and Annie and Gino Barnes; sisters, Lena Creo, Gianina "Jenny" Creo; brother and sister-in-law, Gabriel and Elizabeth "Liz" Creo; sister-in-law, Rosalie Parrotta, and brother-in-law, Benny Morosco. She will be remembered by her niece, Adele Altieri who Annette thought of as a daughter; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends, especially Viola Montas who loved and cared for her. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Pina and Reno DeRosa, and Frank "Ciccio" and Aclidia Creo, John "Patsy" and Anna Creo, sister, Sandra Cupolo; brother-in-law, Louis Parrotta; sister-in-law, Elaine Morosco; and nephews, John Creo (Canada), and John Creo, Sr. (Utica). The family is grateful to the entire staff of the Faxton-St Luke Healthcare Center, especially the Intensive Care Unit, for the outstanding care rendered. Special acknowledgement is given to nurses Jessica Yearby and Patty Langley for their extreme compassion and comfort to Annette and her family; and sincere thanks to Fr. Joseph Salerno and Deacon Bill Dischiavo for their prayers and anointings. Visitation will be held Friday from 4:00-7:00 at the Eannace Funeral Home, 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. By family request, please omit floral offerings. Annettes funeral service and Celebration of Life will commence on Saturday morning at 9:00 from the funeral home and at 10:00 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish where her Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by Rev. James Cesta. Those wishing to honor Annettes memory may provide a donation to the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital online at https://www.stjude.org; envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Entombment will take place in Christ our Savior Mausoleum in Calvary Cemetery.
