Carol Patricia Pomeroy Bain, 81, passed away April 17, 2018, in Ogden, Utah. She was born June 25, 1936, to Marjorie C. Pomeroy and James W. Pomeroy in Kemmerer, Wyoming. Carol went to small country schools in Kemmerer and then graduated with the first graduating class of Ben Lomond High School. Carol married Richard E. Bain; they later divorced.

Mom grew up on a cattle ranch just outside of Kemmerer, Wyoming. The winters there were harsh, and even the summers could be cold and windy. This taught mom to be tough, strong and determined.

She graduated with her degree in Nursing from Weber State College. She worked as an RN at the old Dee Hospital and at McKay Dee Hospital. As an RN she worked in various areas of the hospital. She especially enjoyed working graveyards in the Emergency Room, and on the orthopedic floor.

Mom enjoyed traveling in her younger years. She also loved reading a good mystery book, taking care of her cat, and she especially enjoyed her two grandchildren. Mom was a special lady who will be missed by all those who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a close family friend, Connie Larson; and many cats that she cared for over the years.
