Roger Lee Adams, 63, of Jackson, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born December 16, 1954, in Cape Girardeau, to Robert J. and Linda C. Williams Adams. He and Connie Biri were married December 16, 1976.
Roger was a 1973 graduate of Jackson High School. He worked as a 2nd mate on a tow boat for Union Mechling from 1973 to 1981, and had worked as a carpenter and self-employed contractor since 1981.
He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Gordonville, the Planning and Zoning Board for the City of Jackson, the Craftsman Union in Cape Girardaeu, and was a former member of the Jackson Jaycees.
Loving survivors include his wife of 41 years, Connie Adams of Jackson; two sons, Sean (Heidi) Adams of Jackson and Darrin (Bobbi Sue) Helderman of Bowling Green, Kentucky; and three grandchildren, Taylor and Alexis Helderman, and Collin Bradley Adams.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a grandson, Ethan Lee Adams.
Visitation is Tuesday, April 24, 2018, from 4 to 8 p.m., and Wednesday, April 25, 2018, from 10 a.m. to service time, in Chapel A of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral is Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at 11 a.m., at the funeral home, with the Rev. Eric Longman officiating. Burial will follow at Christ Lutheran Cemetery in Gordonville.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
