Lynn Mensch of Gray passed away unexpectedly on March 19th. He was born in Penn. and went into the Marine Corp after high school. He married in 1964 and moved from California to Kennebunk in 1988. He recently retired, while still working at Borealis Breads in Wells.
He truly enjoyed his first grandson, Joshua (4 years-old) and loved being called Grandpop. He enjoyed reading to him, rolling his piggy bank money, playing hockey, going to the movies, taking him to preschool and of course learning to play Leapster. He also just had two new grandsons, Jeffrey in February and Brady earlier this March .
A memorial service was held at the new Maine Veterans Cemetery on Mt Vernon Road, in Augusta, on Tuesday March 27 at 1 p.m.
He is survived by two daughters, Trisha Mensch Randall of Lewiston and Traci Mensch of Biddeford; grandsons Joshua and Jeffrey Randall of Lewiston; grandson Brady Stone of Biddeford; wife Patricia Mensch of Arundel; mother Elsie Mensch of Penn; and sister Trude Frick of Penn. He is pre-deceased by his father, Edward C. Mensch.
