"Funeral services for Leonard M. Gault, a Hale RFD 2 resident, will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, at the Lindley Funeral Home in Hale. Rev. Bruce Trussell will officiate. Burial will be in Hale Memory Gardens. Mr. Gault died Wednesday night, Sept. 27, 1989, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Leavenworth, Kan. He was 62.

He was born Oct. 5, 1926, in Tekonsha, Mich., the son of Leroy Edgar and Elsie Langridge Gault. He was married to Twyla Vanderwork in Waukomis, Okla., Jan. 22, 1955. From January 1945 to June 1946, he served in the U.S. Army. For the last 15 years, he had been a service technician with Sears. He had moved to Hale 22 years ago from Oklahoma City. He was a member of the Pennsylvania Avenue Christian Union Church, Oklahoma City, and the Chillicothe chapter of Disabled American Veterans.

Surviving are his wife of the home; two sons, Leroy E. of Hale and Clifton Ray of Chillicothe; five daughters, Helen Marie Tietjens of Holt, Diana Lynn Lightfoot of Hale, Sharrie Kay Langston of Mustang, Okla., Renee Trussell of Bogard and Treslyn Sue Gault of Springfield; a brother, Lewis Earl of Fremont, Ind.; two sisters, Mabel Schroll of Battle Creek, Mich., and Florence Schulmeyer of Cold Water, Mich.; and 14 grandchildren.
