Chattanooga Times, 7 Feburary 1937:VAUGHN - MRS. DORA NIPPER, passed away Saturday morning at her residence, 2636 1/2 Broad street. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. J. E. Rhea, Mrs. Frances Stapp and Mrs. Thelma Underwood, of Chattanooga; three brothers, R. L. and George Johnson, of Sweetwater, and Cart Johnson, of McMinnville; two sisters, Mrs. America Hope, of Sweetwater, and Mrs. Lou Slayton, of Oklahoma; two grandchildren, J. B. Freeman and Bobbie Joe Rhea. Funeral services will be held from the residence of her daughter, Mrs. R. S. Stepp, 606 East Terrace, at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, the Rev. T. J. Smith and the Rev. Herbert Morgan officiating. Pallbearers will be Alvin Rhea, J. W. Rhea, D. R. Guffey, R. S. Stepp, Henry Thompson and Huse Thompson. Interment wlil be in Chattanooga Memorial Park. The body will remain at the residence of Mrs. Stepp until after the funeral. Arrangements are in charge of Coulter's.
