Virgil “Bill” Sullivan, age 62, formerly of Russell County, died January 3, 1980 at the home of Josh and Marie Simpson in Glasgow, Kentucky.
He was the son of the late Cleveland and Rhena Atchley Sullivan and the stepson of Myrtie Sullivan who survives.
Immediate survivors are two brothers, Ray Sullivan of Petersburg, Virginia and Russell Sullivan of Russell Springs; five sisters, Marie Simpson of Glasgow, Hazel Edmonds and Margaret Loveless of Russell Springs, Constance Smith of Ruskin, Florida, and Gloria Robertson of Columbia.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Claud McCubbin, were held Sunday, January 6, 1980, in the chapel of Hatcher and Sadler Funeral Home, Glasgow. His body was returned to his native community and laid to rest in Bethlehem Cemetery.
