LIGHT --- Mrs. Mary Light, of this city, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G. R. Hill, at Michigan City, Ind., Friday night, April 12th, her death being due to heart trouble. She had been visiting at her daughter's home for the past five months.
A short funeral service was conducted at the Hill residence, Sunday morning, and the body was brought to this city, Sunday evening. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church at two o'clock Monday afternon, and the burial took place in the City Cemetery.
Mrs. Light was sixty-six years of age. She was born in North Vernon, June 22, 1852, the daughter of Colonel Hiram Prather, and she lived here practically all her life. She was the widow of Dr. Light, a prominent physician of this city, who died fifteen years ago.
She leaves to mourn her death, the following children: Howard W. Light of Winsted, Connecticut; Wm. L. Light of Minneapolis, Minn.; Eugene P. Light of Greencastle, Ind.; and Mrs. George R. Hill of Michigan City. Two brothers and two sisters also survive: Judge Lee H. Prather of Spokane, Wash.; Andrew Prather of Los Angeles, Cal.; Mrs. Susan Johnson of Normal, Ill.; and Mrs. John Kellar of Brewersville, Ind.
