Charles Burgess
October 29, 1935 - February 06, 2004 Charles Burgess, 68, of Military street, self employed painter and husband of Shirley Gilbert Burgess died Friday February 6, 2004 at the Hospice Care Center in Lexington.

A native of Fayette County he was the son of the late Harry Clay and Virginia Frances Shanks Burgess and was a member of the Long Lick Baptist Church.

Survivors besides his wife include three daughters: Deborah (Charles) Saunier, Stamping Ground; Tina (Harvey) Gillispie, Glasgow; Dana (Ray) Romero, Georgetown; three sons: Charles (Kay) Burgess, Jr., Fayette Co.; Michael Burgess, Georgetown and Phillip (Tammy) Burgess, Georgetown; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren and one sister, Betty Adams, Fayette County.

Memorial services will be 7:00 PM Monday at Johnson's Funeral Home by Rev. Andy Adams. Visitation will be from 4:00pm until time of services.
