The family will receive friends between 2 and 3:30 p.m. Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 22, 2024 in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls.
Suzanne was born on March 24, 1943 in Los Angeles, California to the late Kirby and Evelyn (Cooper) Achee. She married the love of her life, Roy Blackwell on December 12, 1958. She retired after many years from United Airlines as a Flight Attendant. Suzanne enjoyed traveling, going to the casino, and was a wonderful cook. Always the hostess with the mostest, Suzanne enjoyed entertaining others, but most of all, she loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Blackwell; and her sister, Jeanienne New.
She is survived by her two daughters, Debra Dougherty and husband Richard, and Ginger Travers and partner Stacy; her son, Lee Blackwell and wife Tamara; her grandchildren, Jacob Roy, Brittany Opal, Taylor, and Bailey; her great-grandchildren, Marlo Mae, Ella Roy, Ruby Jean, Rylie, Murphy, and Kem Bo; and her four-legged princess, Isabella.
