George Fritz Hirsch, Jr., 56, of Plantersville, died Friday morning, June 24, 2016, at CHI St. Joseph Health Center in Bryan.
A gathering of family and friends was held from 1:00 to 3:00 pm Tuesday, June 28, 2016 with a celebration of George's life beginning at 3:00 pm at Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home. Rev. Jose Maldonado of First Hispanic Baptist Church officiated. Following George's wishes, cremation followed.
George was born June 29, 1959 in Navasota to George Fritz "T.C." ; and Betty Jean Lisenbe Hirsch, Sr. George was a bulk head builder and heavy equipment operator. He loved spending time at the beach, especially Matagorda Beach and being outdoors. George felt that the only thing worth watching on TV were the old western series and movies.
Survivors include his children, Ashley Settle and husband Jake of Dumfries, VA, Sammie Esquivel and husband Chris of Brenham and Edward Hirsch of Plantersville; grandchildren, Avery and Harper Settles of Dumfries, VA; his parents, T.C. and Betty Hirsch of Plantersville; sisters, Susan Hirsch of Conroe, Sheryl Lopez of Navasota and Kathy Norwood and husband Carl of Roans Prairie along with numerous other relative and host of friends.
