Mrs. Scribner died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000, at her home.
She was born Sept. 13, 1923, in Catron, Mo., the daughter of Valley Columbus and Hattie Tupin Godair. In 1951 she moved from Eudora to Colyer Farming Community, rural Baldwin. Mrs. Scribner and her husband farmed in Sulphur Rock, Ark., and then moved to Eudora. She was a homemaker.
She married Roy Williamson Scribner on June 24, 1939, in Sulphur Rock, Ark. He died July 9, 2000. Survivors include three sons, Joe and R.W. Scribner, both of Lawrence, and James Scribner, Perry; a daughter, Betty Jean Miller, Edgerton; a brother, Valley G. Godair, Newport, Ark.; a sister, Ruby Godair Cannon, Sulphur Rock, Ark.; a stepsister, Rosie Bice Smart, Magness, Ark.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
