Emily (Taylor) Selig was born on August 21, 1929, the daughter of Bernard Whitley Taylor Sr (1905–1960) and Elma Ray(Thomason) Taylor (1905–2011).
She graduated from Nashville, Tennessee's Isaac Litton High School in 1947 and for many years enjoyed lunches with her class lunch bunch, the Litton Chicks. She worked for Merrill Lynch for a number of years. A lifelong member and church pianist at Lockland Baptist Church for more than 50 years, and for some of those years her mother also played the organ.
Living in Madison, Davidson County, Emily was 88 years old when she passed away in her sleep on April 28, 2018.
Preceded in death by her parents, her old brother Bernard Taylor Jr and yer younger brother Jackie Taylor, she was survived by her son, a niece and three nephews.
Graveside Services were held in Spring Hill Cemetery, Nashville, Tennessee.
