Mrs. Laura Bridges, 73, of Elida, Rt. 2, died at 4:30 a.m. today at the home of her son, Glen, 621 N. Woodlawn, Lima. She died of a heart ailment after an illness of one week. Mrs. Bridges was born Aug. 15, 1873, at Rockingham County, Va. She moved to the Lima area in 1920.

Mrs. Bridges married William C. Bridges on Feb. 24, 1909 and he survives. There are also the following children: William of Archbold, Wilmer of Fresno, Calif., Charles of Delphos, Clarence of Lima Rt. 3, Glen at 621 N. Woodlawn and John of Los Angeles; Mrs. Isa Engle of Springfield, Mrs. Katherine Ladd of Elida, Mrs. Mabel Tabler of Columbus Grove, Rt. 2, and Mrs. LaDonna Newland of Lima. There also are 28 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Sadie Byerly of Guernsey, Iowa, Mrs. Etta Minnick of Minnesota and Mrs. Daisy Whistler of Virginia.

Mrs. Bridges was a member of the Pleasant View Church of the Brethern.

The body is at the Harris Funeral Home at Columbus Grove where arrangements are being made. Burial will be at the Lewis Grove Cemetery at Pleasant View Church five miles east of Lima on U.S. 25.
