Clifton Phelps (1893-1953), age 69 years, native of Jackson County, Mississippi where he was born 29 October 1893, expired at Memorial Hospital on 4 January 1953.
Clifton was survived by Mrs. Donnie Phelps, his widow, of Gulfport, Mississippi and three children: Alvin . Phelps [New Orleans]; Lawrence Phelps and Sarah Phelps, both of Gulfport; and three grandchildren.
The Reverend Bert Phelps officiated at the funeral held in the Riemann Chapel.
Internment was in Coalville Cemetery.
