"Iredell Boy Drowns in Bosque River. Jimmy Behringer, 11, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Earl R. Behringer of Iredell, drowned about noon Monday in
the Bosque River near there.
He was taken to the Hico Hospital, where he was declared dead on
arrival.
Funeral services were held at 4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at
Iredell Baptist Church. Minister Ray Crook officiated. Burial was in
Oak Grove Cemetery at Walnut Springs.
Companions said the boy jumped for a swing suspended over a
swimming hole in the river, missed it and sank in deep water.
Besides his parents he is survived by a brother, Kenneth and a
sister, Earline."
