Ella Louise Dombach Dickason Atland Kile, 98, passed away peacefully at Juniper Village, Mount Joy on May 4, 2018. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late, Earl W. Dombach and Louise Helen Demy. She was the wife of Chester Kile. She is survived by her children: Richard E. Dickason husband of Sandra, Mount Joy; Katherine L. wife of James Wagner, Mount Joy; Charlotte M. wife of Tom Peters, Bainbridge; and Darla Ann Dickason, Mount Joy; 23 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren and a number of great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Esther Albright, Columbia. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles L. Dickason, III and grandson, John Dickason.

Ella was an active member of West Greentree Church of the Brethren and served on the witness and nurture committee, a member of the church board, sang in the senior choir and played the piano and organ. She taught Sunday school and directed the junior choir in Arizona and the Church of God, Columbia. While in Arizona she wrote and directed the play, "You Are There" and also presented it at Baptist Church, York and 5 times at her church, West Greentree Church of the Brethren. She wrote, directed and presented the play, "The Life of Christ" at the former Crippled Children's Hospital, Silver Spring Baptist Church and York Methodist Church.

She assisted Rev. Bob Keller with his ministry at Bethesda mission in Harrisburg and the prison ministry in Harrisburg. She continued her volunteer work at Water Street Rescue Mission where her services amount to 20 years in ministry.

She was a member of the Columbia High School Class of 1937 and editor of the class newsletter "Heartbeats." She was President of the PTA in the Columbia School District, President of the former Columbia Hospital Auxiliary and an active member of the Columbia Playground Association where she taught sewing at five of the playgrounds. She was an active member of Columbia's Republican Committee and an officer of the Eastern Star. She was the Grand Regent of Women of the Moose in Columbia. She was a seamstress and did men's alterations for JC Penney's in their Columbia store.

She was President of Forest Fire Auxiliary in Mt. Joy for 28 years and was a registered fire dispatcher and typed and edited their newsletter. She worked at Hawthorne Electric Company, Petticoffer Dodge Dealership as an office manager and Kroesen Tool and York Credit Bureau. She also did work as a private detective for the Chuck Davis Agency.

Ella was an avid crossword puzzle enthusiast.

A Celebration of Ella's Life will be held from the West Greentree Church of the Brethren, 740 Greentree Road, Elizabethtown, PA on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 11:00 AM (VIEWING: 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM) with Rev. Mick Allen, officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining Church Cemetery. The family requests that flowers be omitted. Memorial contributions in Ella's memory may be made to the West Greentree Church of the Brethren or to the Water Street Rescue Mission, 210 S. Prince Street, Lancaster, PA 17603.
