On August 3, 1938, Mildred S. Goodwin threw a bridal shower for Miss Ruth E. Brown of Leconey Avenue, Palmyra, NJ. Ms. Brown married Franklin Class of Philadelphia on August 6, 1938. Miss Mildred S. Goodwin, of Palmyra, was maid of honor and wore a turquoise blue mousseline de soie over satin, trimmed in blue velvet. She wore a large leghorn hat and carried an old fashioned shower bouquet of mixed flowers.

On August 29, 1942, Mildred enlisted in the Womans Army Corps (WACS). At time of enlistment, she was a resident of Burlington county; her civilian occupation was secretarial and she was 64" tall and 104 lbs.

She was the third wife of William H. MacLachlan. She met him during the 1940s while doing the book-keeping for his bowling alley in New Jersey. She married William on October 8, 1971 at Palm Beach, Florida. She died during surgery.
