Her family moved back to Tokyo, Japan, the birthplace of her parents, where she lived through the horrific experiences of WWII.
Upon Japan's rebuilding, Kay worked at the U.S. military Post Exchange and met the love of her life, Bob. They married, came back to the U.S., raised a family, and lived a happy, blissful 67 years together.
After several years of health issues, on April, 28, 2018, surrounded by all her family, and with a last kiss from Bob, Kay passed away peacefully. She is survived by her beloved husband, Bob; her daughter, Debbie and her son, Ken, their spouses; four grandchildren and their spouses; and six great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 11:00AM for those who wish to say their goodbyes at Palisades United Methodist Church, 27002 Camino de Estrella Capistrano Beach, CA 92624.
