Bettie Carolyn Tidwell was born on May 6, 1938 in Hickman County, Tennessee, the daughter of George "Elton" Tidwell (1912-1996) and his 1st wife Lola Mai (Underhill) Tidwell (1916-1980).
She was little more than 6 years old when she died of tularemic meningitis at Nashville's Vanderbilt Hospital on July 3, 1944. Burial was in Missionary Ridge Cemetery near Bon Aqua.
