He was predeceased by his loving wife of 43 years, Deaconess Catherine G. Yarborough.
'Moe' as he was affectionately called was educated in the public schools of Suffolk and Norfolk. He attended Booker T. Washington High School in Norfolk where he was a member of the band. Henry possessed a very strong work ethic. He served in the United States Army, worked for Norfolk Public Schools as a custodian at Willard Middle School and Northside Middle School. He also worked at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard (Portsmouth, VA) as a pipefitter. In later years he worked at the Information Desk of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
He is survived by three children, Paul Yarborough, Kenneth Yarborough, and Natalie Renee Yarborough Rivera; one grandson, Reuben Rivera; one sister, Victoria Y. Davidson; two brothers, John Yarborough and Nebuchadnezzar Yarborough; and best friend, Dr. Robert Gayle. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
