Baltazar Jerome (Jeronimo) Bordallo (August 8, 1900-May 1984) and his family travelled from Guam to Washington, D.C. in 1935 to petition for United States citizenship for and a bill of rights for the people of Guam.

His hopes were realized in 1950 when the U.S. Congress passed the Organic Act of Guam.

Josefina is B.J. Bordallo's first wife and Rosalia is his second wife as well as Josefina's older sister. Josefina is the mother of all his children.
