He and his wife, Carolyn Cochenour were married in November 1972.
Ray was in the Navy from 1956 till 1959. Ray also lived and worked on the Alaska Pipe Line from 1975 till 1978. Ray worked as a carpenter for the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City until his retirement in 2000.
Ray and Carolyn lived on a farm for many years and loved having animals which Carolyn would name unless he was going to sell them. Their dog, Carmen, was the love of their life.
Ray is preceded in death by his parents, his wife and his daughter Sherri.
Survivors include his son Ray Cochenour Jr., his daughter Debra Powell both of Oregon, his sister Anges McAfee of Ohio, brothers Russell Cochenour and his wife Teri of Ohio and Larry Cochenour of California and his Step-Son Kevin McGehee and his wife Tracy of Edmond, OK.
Ray had many wonderful grandchildren, nieces and nephews. There are many special people that were in Ray's life and you all know who you are. He loved all of you and thought each one was special.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Oakdale Cemetery in Paden, Oklahoma.
