Josephine was my Grandmother. She married Albert in Germany (Karlsbadden) before they came to the United States. They were parents to Charles, Louise (Cooper), Benjamin, Dorothy (Smith), Henry, Maria, Franchesca, Gertrude (King), and Claire. They had one child who dies at birth. Her brother was a professor of Latin in Germany. He wrote a Latin text book which was widely used, even by his own family members.
