MRS. HENRY E. PORTER

Mrs. Henry E. Porter, 57, died at her home in Richland Friday, May 29, 1936 at 9:20 a.m. after a short illness of four days.
Julia Bargy was the third child of Mary and Andrew Bargy and was born November 16, 1878 in the house now used by Bert Nemier, as a tenant house. She attended the Van Auken School and was a member of Mrs. Ellen Hunt's Sunday-School Class of
Boylston.

She was united in marriage to Henry Porter August 25, 1893 and started housekeeping in the John O'Harry log cabin in Bolyston. Their home was blessed with seven children, Clarence, Eugene, Clayton, Floyd, Reuben, Agnes and Andrew.

Besides her husband she leaves six children, Eugene; Floyd, Reuben and Andrew, of Richland, Clayton of Phoenix, and Captain Agnes Porter of Buffalo, two sisters, Mrs. Amelia Lester, of Sandy Creek; Mrs. Bert Rowe, of Bolyston, and one half-brother, Marshall Stowell of Lacona; eight cousins, nine nephews, one niece and one daughter-in-law and a grandchild.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 1 at the Boylston Wesleyan Church, Rev. T.T. Davies officiating. Burial was made in the Wesleyan cemetery of Sandy Creek.
