Services for Mrs. Clara Siel Morrison, 74, Boise, who died Wednesday at a local nursing home following an extended illness will be conducted Saturday at the First Methodist Cathedral at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Herbert E. Richards, Rev. Meredith Groves and Rev. Newell Morgan. Interment will follow at Cloverdale, under direction of the McBratney-Alden Chapel.
Mrs. Morrison was born Nov. 18, 1889 at Riverton, Neb., and lived the early years of her life there. She attended college at Kearney, Neb., and was married at Riverton to John P. Morrison on Feb. 24, 1911.
She taught school in her early years and also farmed. The couple came to Idaho in 1938 and operated a dairy farm near Boise until retirement.
She was a member of the First Methodist Cathedral of the Rockies, and of the Women's Society of Christian Service.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Opal Cameron, Boise; three sons, Bernard and Gerald Morrison, both of Boise, and Glen Morrison, Omaha, Neb.; a brother, Ed Siel, Yuma, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Bess Moore, Orleans, Neb., Mrs. Verdie Dalgliesh, Sterling, Colo., and Mrs. Wiona Knutson, Cozad, Neb., and 20 grandchildren. An infant son, Robert, preceded her in death.
Pallbearers will be Vega Brown, Warren Cate, Norman Purvis, Norman Lee, Everett Miller and George Ganz Jr. Honorary bearers are Henry Nelson, Elmer Hansen, Marcel Learned, Taylor C. Robertson, Andy Modin and Homer Deal.
