Funeral services for Twylia Simpson will be 2:00 P.M., Monday, May 14, 2018 at Faith Chapel Pentecostal Church. Pastor Justin Nowlin and Bishop Roy Telano will officiate with interment following at Hilltop Worship Center formerly known as Greater Apostolic Church of Chatham, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Mrs. Simpson was born on January 8, 1929 in Sheldon, MO and passed away May 11, 2018 at home of natural causes. She lived in Chatham, LA for 39 years and attended the Greater Apostolic Church in the Eros and Chatham Community. Mrs. Simpson served as a Ladies Auxiliary Leader there for 19 years. She worked at various jobs during her lifetime and she loved to cook, sew, and hunt. Mrs. Simpson is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse R. Simpson; son, David Mitchell; two brothers, Wilmer and Russell Sheppard; two sisters, Shirley Boullt and Marilyn Roberts.
Mrs. Simpson is survived by her son, John B. Mitchell and wife Jean; daughters, Judy Perrault and husband Robert, Pam Ebey, Alice Wiley and husband James; 16 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Denny and Johnny Mitchell, Daniel and Cody Ebey, Matt Perrault, Carl Cascio.
Thank you to nurses, Kandy Hibbard and Robert Younger, Chaplain Andy Myrick and the rest of Premier Hospice staff.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., May 13, 2018 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.
