Gale Marcille Burke, age 76, passed away early morning of Mother’s Day, May 13, 2018, in her Midwest City home surrounded by family. Gale was born in Oklahoma City on March 20, 1942. She grew up in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia before attending Marymount International boarding school in England. After returning to the states and graduating from Northwest Classen High School in 1960, she attended Central State University. In 1961, she married Darl “Dean” Burke. Gale demonstrated countless skills and talents; she was an expert genealogist. She enjoyed crafts, bowling, games, cultural events, music, traveling, history, and spending time with family and friends. She was an eloquent conversationalist. She loved serving and always put others’ needs before her own. She was a devout Christian with a firm belief that she would one day return to her loving Father in Heaven. Gale is survived by four children and their spouses: Teresa & Coy Smith, Bryan & Kim Burke, Kevin & Lindsey Burke, Melodie & Michael Arnold, eight grandchildren: Jade, Jordan, Grace, Alyssa, Savannah, Bailey, Brooke, and Luke, and five great-grandchildren: Ashton, Brooks, Roland, Lily, and Joseph.
