Mrs. Barker died April 14, 2007, in Irving.
She was born Jan. 28, 1916, in Wills Point to Welty Watkins and Gertie Garvin Clark and attended schools in the Bright Star community. She moved to Dallas in 1942, and worked on the assembly line for North American Aviation. She later moved to Italy, Texas, and worked at Jamison Manufacturing, retiring in 1983. She returned to Wills Point in 1988 and moved to Irving in 1998. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Coy Barker; daughter, Patsy Ruth Bonner; granddaughters, Debra Wells Lofland, Donna K. Parker; and grandson, Bennie Barker Jr.
Survivors include her son, Bennie Barker, Irving; daughter, Bobbie Trimble, Midlothian; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be two hours prior to service at the funeral home.
