George Sam Captain, age 77, died Saturday, April 21, 2018, at the Medical Center Navicent Health in Macon, GA. Services will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018, with a visitation from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and a Memorial Service following the visitation at North Knoxville Baptist Church 217 W. Oldham Ave. Knoxville, TN.

Mr. Captain, born in Knoxville, was a former restaurant owner. He was the son the late Sam and Lula Furla Captain and was preceded in death by his sister Mary Ellen Gianikas.

Survivors are his 3 sons, Samuel Captain of Hawkinsville, GA, Gregory Captain of Knoxville and Andrew Captain of Stanfield, NC, and 7 grandchildren.
