CHARLES STRAYER
Charles (Chuck) Strayer, 72, 121 Pine St., Cochranton, died at City Hospital Thursday, June 9, 1983, after a sudden illness.
Mr. Strayer was born at Cochranton Jan. 30, 1911 son of William & Nellie (Peterson) Strayer. He married Violet Orner December 15, 1934.
Mr. Strayer was employed at Morco Inc. as a designer toolmaker for 48 years. He was a member of Cochranton Volunteer Fire Department and National Railroad Association.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a sister, Mrs. John (Charlotte) O'Loughlin of Houston, Texas; and a brother, Bert Strayer of Warren, Ohio. Mr. Strayer was preceded in death by three brothers, one son, one daughter-in-law and two grandchildren.
Friends may call Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Ronald Dickson Funeral Home, Cochranton, where services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ronald Hankey of Cochranton United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be at Cochranton Cemetery.

Charles the grandson of Charles & Elizabeth (Peterman) Strayer, and the great grandson of Martin & Rachel (Raylla)Strayer.
On December 22, 1974 Charles's only child Robert, daughter-in-law Linda, 3 year granddaughter Vicki, and 6 month old grandson Michael returned to their Heavenly Home as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning. Separated on this Earth for a short time, now a family together in Heaven for all eternity.
