Penny, 81, Moore, formerly of Idabel, died Thursday in the Grady Memorial Hospital in Chickasha.Born May 31, 1895 in Blue Ridge, Texas, he was a veteran of World War I, a retired Tinker Air Force Base employee, a member of the American Legion Post No. 35 in Oklahoma City, and a member of the Assembly of God Church.Surviving are two sons, A.J. Penny of Moore and Owen Penny of Chickasha; one daughter, Velma Jackson of San Dimas, Calif.; one brother, Guy Penny of Herndon, Calif.; one sister, Myrtle Mays of Tishomingo; seven grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Coffey-Ruiz Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Rueben Ruiz officiating.Arrangements and burial in the Denison Cemetery will be under the direction of Coffey-Ruiz Funeral Home.McCurtain GazetteMonday, November 8, 1976
