Marion "Doug" Triplett, 46, of Herlong, CA, died March 26, 2007, in Gasconade County, MO.
Born March 4, 1961 in Dexter, MO, son of Shirley Lee Simmons Triplett of Grayridge, MO, and the late Marion Norman Triplett.
He graduated from Richland High School in 1979 and attended Three Rivers Community College for two years. In 1989, he graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in law enforcement at National University and went on to Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO, for his master's degree. He was Master Sergeant of U.S. Marines, being a veteran of the Persian Gulf. He was also a former officer of the law in various areas of the country.
Survivors include two brothers, Norman "Greg" Triplett of Marion, IL; and Gary Stevens Triplett of St. Ann, MO; by one niece; three nephews; and two uncles and four aunts.He was preceded in death by his daughter, Princessa Lee Triplett.
A memorial service will be conducted Friday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with the Rev. LeRoy Williams officiating. Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home of Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
