Michael Leonard Bowers of Baldwin MD, formerly of Aberdeen, MD, passed away on May 18, 2018. He was 63. Mike was born in Havre de Grace, Maryland to Leonard John Bowers and Catherine McClintock Bowers. He was the devoted husband of 31 years to Margery Cook Bowers, loving father of Joseph Merrill Bowers; loving brother of Scott Bowers, and his wife Karen, and Mark Bowers;loving brother-in-law to Hardy M. Cook, III and the late Kenneth W. Cook. He was the uncle of Kaitlyn Bowers, Alicia Trala, Mark A. Bowers, Melissa Ralph, William Ralph, Rebecca Cook and Andrew Cook. Mike is also survived by many cousins, including Fred R. Ray and his wife, Ann, of Towson, with whom Mike was especially close. His much loved cat, Snowball, also survives him.

Mike was a 1973 graduate of Aberdeen High School and of Towson University in 1977. He was the owner/operator of Chesapeake Logos and Promos since 1997. He was also a member of the Harford County Advisory group and Harford Has It:Buy In, and Harford County Gives.

Mike was an avid bowler and golfer. He had bowled multiple 300 games and 800 Series. After many years of service and outstanding bowling, he was inducted into the Cecil-Harford USBC Hall of Fame for Superior performance and meritorious service in 1997. He served as the first Board of Director for the American Bowling Congress for the State of Maryland 1992-2005. He was inducted into the Maryland State Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 2007 for Superior Performance.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, from 5-8 PM, at Zellman Funeral Home, P.A., 123 S. Washington Street, Havre de Grace, MD. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018, at 11 AM, with eulogies being given at 10:50, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 615 Congress Avenue, Havre de Grace, MD. Father Dale Picarella will officiate.
