Longtime Spanish Teacher

Mary Belcheff, of East Brunswick, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at home. She was 82. Born in Portland, Maine, she lived in Edison before moving to East Brunswick over 50 years ago.

Mrs. Belcheff was a Spanish teacher at J.P. Stevens High School in Edison for 30 years. She received her Master's in Education from Marietta College in Ohio. She enjoyed reading and caring for her family.

She was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Piscataway.
She's predeceased by her brothers James, John and William Kiriakis.
Surviving is her beloved husband Theodore Belcheff; her sons Thomas Belcheff of East Brunswick and Michael Belcheff of St. Croix, US Virgin Islands; and her sister Katherine "Tina" Hadjiyannis of Cherry Hill.

A Funeral Service will be Friday, October 6, 2017, 10:00 am, at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 1101 River Road, Piscataway. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in New Brunswick. Friends and relatives may call on Thursday, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, at The Crabiel Home for Funerals, 170 N Main St-at Riva Avenue, Milltown. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mary's name to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org .
