She was the daughter of the late Calvin and Shirley Stanley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Carper; five children, Patty Jean Carper, Diane Kay Carper, Billy Darrell Carper Jr., Billy Dean Carper and Dixie Lynn Frye; two brothers, Carson Stanley and Jackie Stanley; three sisters, Jean Elkins, Emma Jo Elkins and Mary Jo Riley; two grandsons, Donny Carper and Charles Frye III.
She is survived by three sons, Richard Allen (Kathy) Carper, Freddy (Cindy) Carper and Randy Dale Carper; four daughters, Lillie Mae (Michael) Adkins, Penny Marie Richmond, Kimberly Sue (Moe) Moyer and Tammy Gayle (Joe) Vinson; three sisters, Joy Baker, Tena Adkins and Maxine Woodrum; sixteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a granddaughter whom she raised as her daughter, Ashley Reitta Carper.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2018 at Koontz Funeral Home, Hamlin WV with Pastor Eddie Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Carper-Cooper Cemetery, Griffithsville, WV.
