Died: Wed., May 23, 2018 Agnes M. McGuire, 101, of Cambridge City, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 23, 2018. She was born on January 18, 1917 in Newbern, IN to Charles M. and Anna V. (Button) Jordan Johnson and had lived most her life here in Cambridge city area. Agnes married Joe McGuire on October 2, 1937, they had been married for 53 years at the time of Joes passing on February 21, 1991. She was a member of Cambridge City Christian Church. She was an active member of the CCCC Dorcus circle and prepared over 2000 crib sheets for Birthright of Richmond. Agnes was an active patron of numerous Western Wayne garage sales, Whites Farm of Brookville, IN and Greensfork flea market. She was endeared to customers of Knollenbergs childrens department for 12 years from the middle 70s to middle 80s.
Agnes is survived by her daughter, Deanna (McGuire) Barricklow (Allen) Wade; two grandchildren, Susanna (Kyle) Arvin and Tim (Jacque Zook) Barricklow; three greatgrandsons, Drew and Cole Barricklow and Ross Arvin; and multiple nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph F. McGuire, and siblings; Francis Jordan, Kenneth (Briz) Jordan, Elmer Jordan, Virgil (Slats) Jordan, half brother Raymond Jordan, half sister Flora Artis, sisters Loretta Archibald and Doris Jordan (infant).
Friends may call from 10:00 am until the start of services at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City. Danny Berry will be officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
