Katharina Schuller, age 78, formerly of Kiel, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Ascension Calumet Medical Center, Chilton.

Katie was born on December 26, 1939 in Romania, daughter of the late Johann and Anna (Zimmermann) Gollner. She attended school in Romania. On January 26, 1959 she married Franz Schuller at his home church in Romania. In 1978 the couple immigrated to the U.S. and they became naturalized citizens in 1994. Franz preceded Katie in death on September 20, 2009. Katie worked at Seifert’s Manufacturing, Larson Canning Factory, as well at the mink ranch for many years. She was most proud of her last job where she could be found working along side of her daughter Hilde at Hilde’s Deli & Bakery in Chilton. Katie always stayed very active in her community. She enjoyed her time with Franz, together they enjoyed making wine, gardening, canning and attending rummage sales. She would fill her time crocheting and knitting for others, and always making everyone feel special. Her last years she spent living with her daughter in Chilton, where she took great care of Hilde's cats and the garden.

She is survived by her three daughters: Katie Eliese Schuller, Manitowoc, Hildegard “Hilde” (Deacon Dennis) Bennin, Chilton and Anna Marie Rivera, Layton, Utah; four grandchildren: Miranda (Kevin) Rochol, Caledonia, Zechariah Bennin, Chilton, Zoe and Kaitlyn Rivera, Layton, Utah; and three great-grandchildren: Lucas, Nolan and Bella. Katie is further survived by a sister: Anna (Thomas) Hallmen; sisters-in-law: Angnetta Gollner, Emilie Schuller, Anna Schuller and Johanna Alischer, all of Germany, many nieces and nephews living in Germany and two nephews: Richard (Lori) Schmitt, Kiel and John (Dori) Schmitt, Cedarburg, other relatives and friends.

Katie was preceded in death by her husband, Franz, her parents, Johann and Anna Gollner, brother: John Gollner, and brothers-in-law and sister-in-law: Wilhelm Schuller, Michael Schuller, and Gust Alischer, John Schuller, Eduard Schuller and Elise (Frederick) Schmitt.
