Services for Mrs. Carl (Alice) Bauer Mrs. Carl (Alice May) Bauer, age 74, of RFD 5. Chillicothe, died Nov. 30, 1987 at Hedrick Medical Center. She was born May 8, 1913 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Edward Knaus and Ethel Sue Terrill Morris. On July 17, 1938 she married Carl Wilbur Bauer in Chillicothe. She had lived in Livingston county 71 years. Mrs. Bauer graduated from Chillicothe High School and attended Chillicothe Business College, Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville, and Chillicothe vo-Tech School. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, its Hannah Circle and taught Sunday School. She had taught the Adams and Minor schools in Livingston county. She served several terms as tax collector for Rich Hill township. From 1963 until she retired in 1978, Mrs. Bauer was employed with the Division of Family Services. She was also a 4-H and P.L. A. leader for many years. Survivors include her husband, Carl of the home; one son, George Edward Bauer. Springfield; two daughters, Elizabeth Joan Bauman, Wyandotte, Okla., and Sue Anne Foy, Cheyenne, Wyo., and seven grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents and one sister, Elizabeth Coffman. Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church officiated by the Rev. George Moore and assisted by Dr. Earl Griffith. Burial will be in Edgewcod cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 o'clock Wednesday evening at Norman-Wagy-Singer Funeral Home. Friends may call any lime after 8 o'clock Wednesday morning. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church and left at the funeral home.
