Don was born and died on the same hill in Point, LA. Don graduated from Downsville High School and Northeast Louisiana State College. He and Carol owned the Point Community store for over two decades, having taken over the business after several other people succeeded his Dad in the business. Don helped start the Point-Wilhite Ward 5 Fire Department. Later in life he and Carol established an insurance financing business and also traveled to shows with Carol's side business of jewelry fashions. Carol preceded Don in death two years prior to his death. They both are missed very much.
